Understanding, episode 5: Review
In a network: review, story, tasks & generative review.
1. Review
Notice the difference between how we think and how nature works.
2. Story
Evolve our story informed by our review.
3. Tasks
Rediscover and realigning ourselves with reality.
In a network, augmented reality.
In order to augment reality, it helps to understand what reality is.
Reality can be seen as a five-fold dynamic and generative sequence:
3.1 Continuity & Change
The nature of reality is transactional, a seamless, fluid flux of seeming continuity and change.
3.2 Flow
The nature of reality is flow, an emerging, unfolding, evolving ritual, procedure, path and set of complex responsive processes and adaptive structures. In the intersects and folds of processes and structures: flows.
3.3 Context
The nature of reality is context. Our turning experiences into sustaining experiences, turning intelligence into ability.
3.4 Trust & Movement
The nature of reality is action and stillness, stillness and action. Trust, movement; movement, trust.
3.5 Character & Purpose
The nature of reality is human beings becoming human, in the intersects and folds of essential character and evolutionary purpose.
4. Play
Make a move. Trust, movement; movement, trust.
5. Generative Review
Picture your digital self here with others
with comments and threads holding possible clues
suddenly someone is sharing an insight
that grows understanding between.
Evolve. Co-evolve. Us letting go of the notion of “living in a culture”, changes the whole conundrum and challenge of time.
Culture is all about holding a collective monopoly on Kairos, story time.
Society is all about holding a collective monopoly on Chronos, clock time.
The scary part of our waking up from the sensegiving aspects of time, is realizing we were never ever fully inside any which narrative, never ever fully inside any which culture, only our conditioned (social, cultural, language use) thoughts made it so. This part of our awakening usually comes with some confusion.
Understanding: Our Ability To Hold Space
The good part of our waking up, anchoring our essential character differently to what is real and extending our evolutionary purpose beyond the confines of narrative, is that this enables us to become more full and more intensely human versions of ourselves.
